Shortly after the election where a white nationalist president defeated the nation's first Black woman Democratic presidential nominee, memes flew across the internet of Black women sipping wine while the nation burned down. The memes felt cathartic -- we had voted against Trump at the highest rates of all groups. But we also knew it would never happen. Black women understand more than anyone the costs of sitting it out, and yet we are so weary of being asked again and again to save this country from itself. This dynamic panel of some of our most beloved and searing public voices will speak to the heartache and resilience of being a Black woman in a country that doesn't love us.
