अयोध्या राम मंदिर चढ़ावा चोरी प्रकरण में विशेष जांच टीम (SIT) की तफ्तीश जैसे-जैसे आगे बढ़ रही है, चौंकाने वाले खुलासे हो रहे हैं. वित्तीय धोखाधड़ी और कैश चोरी के बाद अब जांच टीम को दान में मिले कीमती गहनों में गंभीर गड़बड़ियों के सबूत मिले हैं. आशंका जताई जा रही है कि श्रद्धालुओं द्वारा रामलला को चढ़ाए गए लाखों-करोड़ों रुपये के सोने-चांदी के आभूषणों को गुप्त रूप से गलाकर उनका मूल स्वरूप बदला गया और बाद में उन्हें ठिकाने लगा दिया गया. सूत्रों के मुताबिक, यह पूरा काम ट्रस्ट के पूर्व महासचिव चंपत राय के कथित निर्देश पर टिन्नू नाम का शख्स देखता था. अगर ये आरोप साबित होते हैं, तो इसमें चंपत राय की सीधी जवाबदेही तय होगी.

Investigating teams suspect that the ornaments were melted down secretly to alter their original form before being embezzled. The SIT also questioned three CAs linked to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust who failed to justify the gaps in the 5-year audit, as the probe widens to include bank officials and land purchase deals.
