पश्चिम बंगाल की शुभेंदु अधिकारी सरकार ने राज्य की पूजा अनुदान नीति में एक ऐतिहासिक बदलाव किया है। नई सरकार ने ऐलान किया है कि अब भगवान जगन्नाथ की रथ यात्रा आयोजित करने वाली अधिकृत कमेटियों को 5-5 लाख रुपये का सरकारी फंड दिया जाएगा। यह रकम पिछली सरकार द्वारा दुर्गा पूजा कमेटियों को दिए जाने वाले 1.1 लाख रुपये के अनुदान से लगभग पांच गुना अधिक है।
The Suvendu Adhikari-led West Bengal government has introduced a major shift in the state's festival grant policy. In a massive announcement, the government will now provide a fund of ₹5 lakh to authorized Rath Yatra organizing committees. This is nearly five times the ₹1.1 lakh grant previously distributed to Durga Puja organizers.
