President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday, July 8, announced the full nationwide expansion of the School-Based Feeding Program, ending the previous practice of selecting only undernourished learners.
Marcos remarked that this is the first time the country has implemented a universal school feeding initiative. The program also prioritizes local produce to support farmers, while addressing malnutrition and improving student learning.
