Former councillor B. Pannir Selvam has enlisted his father and wife to help with his Perling campaign. His father, Datuk K.S. Balakrishnan, a five-term Johor assemblyman, has been campaigning in Indian areas, while his wife, M. Nirmala, who speaks Mandarin, has been reaching out to the Chinese community.
The 54-year-old Barisan Nasional candidate said the campaign trail has been tiring but rewarding, with a warm reception from voters.
He also visits Malay areas and holds more than a dozen meet-the-people sessions daily.
