MASSIVE SEA LION CHASES RIVAL ACROSS CROWDED SHORE

A dramatic encounter between two male sea lions sent beachgoers scrambling for safety after a dominant male charged across a crowded beach to chase off a rival.
The incredible moment was captured by Christopher Krecicki in La Jolla Cove, California, USA, where a huge male sea lion spotted another male resting on the sand before launching into pursuit.
As the larger sea lion charged forward, the smaller rival immediately fled toward the water.
Startled by the sudden chase, people relaxing on the beach quickly jumped up and rushed out of the animals' path while the two sea lions thundered past them.
The pursuit ended moments later when both sea lions splashed back into the ocean.
Christopher had spent several days observing and swimming with the dominant male before witnessing the confrontation.
He said: "I swam with this big guy, swam under and around for three days. Intimidating but friendly enough in the water.
“The last day we were in La Jolla, the king of the Cove went after another male who had been flirting with all the king's girls all week.
“He finally hit the beach and ran as soon as the king rolled up.
“We called him Ralph."
