Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says the coalition has won more than 40 seats in the Johor state election based on unofficial results.
He credited caretaker Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi’s administration for the strong showing and said the result could boost Barisan’s momentum ahead of upcoming state elections and the next general election.
Zahid, who is also Deputy Prime Minister said Barisan would continue working with the unity government in Putrajaya to ensure the smooth implementation of all Malaysia Plan projects.
