Television actor Rohit Chandel has been making headlines after his arrest in a case involving a 16-year-old co-actor. Mumbai Police registered a case under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following allegations of stalking, harassment and assault. The actor was arrested on July 10 and later remanded to judicial custody as the investigation continues.
According to police, the complaint alleges that Rohit repeatedly contacted the minor from different phone numbers despite being blocked and allegedly confronted her near her residence before an altercation took place.
