Heat warning grips Toronto as residents cope with sweltering temperatures
Residents across the Greater Toronto Area in Canada are braving a stifling heat wave for a second consecutive day, with temperatures climbing to 36 degrees Celsius under a yellow heat warning. As humidity levels drive the heat index even higher, locals are adopting various strategies to stay safe. For those accustomed to the city's climate, the heat is a familiar, if difficult, reality. The city government of Toronto previously advised of a heat warning in effect that started on Monday. Environment Canada forecasted the heat event to continue into Wednesday evening and may extend to Thursday (July 16) or Friday in other areas.
