Description
In this video, learn how to easily make a simple 3.7V battery charger circuit at home! This DIY electronics project is perfect for charging standard 18650 lithium batteries using a regular 5V mobile charger.
We are using a basic circuit design that includes a diode for reverse polarity protection and LEDs to indicate the power and charging status.
Components Required for this Circuit:
1x 3.7V Battery (18650 cell)
1x 1N4007 Diode
1x 1K Resistor
2x LEDs (1 Red, 1 Green)
1x 5V Power Supply / Mobile Charger (like Teknotrek)
How it works:
The 1N4007 diode steps down the voltage slightly and prevents the battery from discharging back into the charger when unplugged. The Red and Green LEDs, connected via the 1K resistor, act as simple power and charging indicators.
Note: This is a basic DIY circuit. Always monitor lithium batteries while charging and avoid leaving them plugged in overnight to prevent overcharging.
