Creepy John Thomas – Creepy John Thomas 1969 (Australia, Psychedelic-Blues Rock)
John Thomas, aka Creepy John Thomas, aka Johnny Driver, is an Australian guitarist born in Sydney and known in his home country for his work with The Flies in the 1960s. The band supported such renowned artists as The Rolling Stones and Roy Orbison on tour in Melbourne. After moving to England, John Thomas recorded two solo albums for RCA Records: the self-titled "Creepy John Thomas" in 1969 and "Brother Bat Bone" in 1970. Both albums were recorded in Cologne with Conny Plank on the mixing board and session musicians. He later played with The Edgar Broughton Band, with whom he recorded the LP "Bandages." In the late 1970s, Thomas moved to Berlin and formed his own band, "Johnny and the Drivers," which recorded a couple of albums and enjoyed widespread success.
