Russia has begun using Yak-52 and An-2 light aircraft as airborne platforms for transporting and launching FPV interceptor drones. The initiative was presented by the Russian BARS-Sarmat unit as a new alternative for countering unmanned aerial vehicles.

The information was reported by the Ukrainian military outlet Militarnyi, based on a post by the Potuzhny Informator channel and a video shared on Telegram by the ROGOZIN channel.

The footage shows high-speed FPV drones with configurations similar to the Sting and P1-Sun models. According to the report, one version was designed for ground launch, while another can begin its mission after being released from an aircraft in flight.
