We took the Land Rover Defender 90 on a road trip to the alpine village of Thredbo in the Snowy Mountains approximately 500km south of Sydney. You might hold fond memories of the old Defender (as do we), but let us be the first to say that while it might look a little softer and less boxy on the outside, the new Defender still holds enough of the quirks, charms and power to remind you it’s still a proper off-road vehicle.
