ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನ ಮುಂಗಾರು ಅಧಿವೇಶನ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನಾಕಾರರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದ 'ಸಂಸತ್ ಚಲೋ' ಕರೆಗೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮಂಡಿಸಲು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನಾಕಾರರು ಮುಂದಾದಾಗ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಅವರನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರು. ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿಯುತವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಕೆಲವೇ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ವಿಗ್ನ ಸ್ವರೂಪ ಪಡೆದು, ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿತು. ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಚದುರಿಸಲು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಅಶ್ರುವಾಯು ಸಿಡಿಸಿ, ಬಳಿಕ ಲಾಠಿಚಾರ್ಜ್ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.  ಇದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಜೊತೆ ದೀಪ್ಕೆ ವಾಗ್ವಾದ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು ಹೀಗೆ..

Thousands of protesters gathered in response to the "Parliament Chalo" call during the Monsoon Session of Parliament. As demonstrators attempted to march toward Parliament to present their demands, police stopped the procession. What began as a peaceful protest quickly escalated, with police using tear gas and later carrying out a lathi charge to disperse the crowd. During the confrontation, Abhijeet Deepke engaged in a heated argument with police officials.
