Prosecution: Matibag testimony on Duterte's threats stands
House prosecutor and Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon says National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag has been firm in his testimony under defense cross-examination on the grave threat charge against Vice President Sara Duterte during the impeachment trial on July 21, 2026. Assessing the eighth day of the Senate impeachment trial, Ridon disputed the defense’s characterization of parts of Matibag’s testimony as 'hearsay.'
