A dramatic display unfolded over downtown Toronto as a powerful thunderstorm rolled through the city.
Filmed from a balcony overlooking the skyline, this incredible footage captures multiple lightning flashes illuminating the morning sky before one striking bolt appears to hit the iconic CN Tower, followed moments later by a booming clap of thunder.
The video was recorded by Achyut Sharma on the morning of July 20th during an active thunderstorm in Toronto, Ontario.
She said: "I captured a dramatic lightning strike hitting the CN Tower during a severe thunderstorm in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The footage was filmed from my condo balcony overlooking the city skyline. Multiple lightning flashes illuminate the sky before one powerful bolt appears to strike the CN Tower, followed by thunder."
