CURIOUS OCTOPUS REFUSES TO LET GO OF SWIMMER IN REMARKABLE ENCOUNTER

Watch as a curious wild octopus wraps its tentacles around a swimmer's arm and refuses to let go during an extraordinary underwater encounter.
Elijah Scotland captured the remarkable moment while swimming in the crystal-clear rock pools of Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Australia.
The video shows the octopus emerging from its rocky den before gently reaching out to investigate the swimmer. The inquisitive creature wraps its tentacles around Elijah's hand and arm, appearing reluctant to end the interaction.
Each time he tries to pull away, the octopus clings on, seemingly drawing him back toward its hiding place.
Laughing throughout the encounter, Elijah patiently allows the intelligent marine animal to explore before it finally releases its grip and disappears back into the rocks.
The unforgettable footage was shared online and Elijah said: "I become friends with a wild octopus and as we were leaving it followed me and pulled me back to its den and didn’t want me to leave."
