Meteorologists caution that considerable rainfall, strong gusts, turbulent surf, and perilous rip currents could still occur from Louisiana extending into Texas. Bertha made landfall with winds reaching approximately 45 mph before gradually weakening as it progressed inland. Although extensive catastrophic flooding is not anticipated, localized flash flooding and coastal overflow remain significant threats.
