Check out this incredible sight as a helicopter carries a giant spinning aerial saw to trim trees alongside high-voltage power lines.
Kara Kovitch, from Seven Hills, Ohio, captured the unusual operation after her family unexpectedly came across it while driving home from a camping trip.
The video shows a utility helicopter hovering above a rural roadway with a massive multi-blade saw suspended beneath it on a long cable. The pilot carefully maneuvers the spinning saw through the treetops, cutting back branches that could interfere with nearby power lines, while ground crews monitor the work below.
Kara explained that her family had taken a wrong turn after losing internet service and spent around 10 minutes sitting in traffic before discovering the remarkable aerial operation.
Kara said: “We'd seen videos of it before, but seeing it in person was incredible. The kids, my husband, and I all thought it was one of the coolest things we'd ever stumbled across. It turned an unexpected detour into a memory we'll never forget.”
