Sometimes the most memorable part of a local tradition is the unexpected guest.
In the water, a real duck floats as a large group of rubber ducks drifts toward it.
The filmer, Katie, told WooGlobe: “Hebden Bridge hosts a yearly rubber duck race. There was a real duck in the water at the same time as the rubber ducks, and it looked as if the duck were wondering why thousands of rubber ducks were heading its way.”
The contrast between the lone bird and the mass of identical floaters gives the scene its quiet comedy.
The moment lands like a small, unscripted detail inside a bigger event.
