Felix Mendelssohn's celebrated aria "Lord God of Abraham" from the oratorio "Elijah." Many opera singers, including Bryn Terfel, Thomas Hampson, Simon Keenlyside and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau have recorded the piece. However, the aria is traditionally sung in English or German (as "Herr Gott Abrahams"). This recording presents it with the original Biblical Hebrew text for the first time.

This performance restores the aria to the language of its original biblical source, offering listeners a fresh perspective on one of Mendelssohn's greatest masterpieces.
