Marcos' plan to remove 'systems loss' charges in electric bills laudable but what about VAT?
Gabriela Party list Rep. Sarah Elago says while President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. mentioned in his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 27, 2026 the removal of the systems loss charges in electric bills, the group’s call to suspend the value added tax (VAT) has yet to be addressed.
