On July 26, NASA astronaut Chris Williams safely returned to Earth following an impressive 241-day mission aboard the International Space Station. The landing occurred in Kazakhstan aboard the Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft, with two cosmonauts from Roscosmos accompanying him. Together, the crew completed 3,856 orbits around the planet and covered over 102 million miles. Throughout this mission, Williams contributed to cancer studies, participated in advanced manufacturing trials, and executed two spacewalks for the maintenance of the station. This mission enhances over 25 years of uninterrupted human habitation on the ISS and bolsters efforts for upcoming lunar and Martian exploration.
