Brigadier General Richard Stanley "Dick" Lord (20 June 1936 – 26 October 2011) was an internationally acclaimed South African fighter pilot, military commander, and aviation author. He is most famously recognized for his pioneering role in creating the foundational training methodologies used by the United States Navy’s "Top Gun" Fighter Weapons School.
