Northumberland County Council says more than one hundred and forty thousand reports have been submitted through its Fix My Street system since it launched in two thousand and twenty three, with potholes remaining the most commonly reported issue.
Council leaders say the system has encouraged far more residents to report problems directly, helping teams target repairs and build the case for extra resources as demand continues to grow. The discussion also highlighted pressure on highways services while praising the system's role during major events including Storm Arwen.
