Glen Hansard, the beloved Irish singer-songwriter known for Once and The Frames, has died in a motorcycle accident at age 56 . He won an Oscar in 2008 for "Falling Slowly," starred in The Commitments, and released several acclaimed solo albums . Irish PM Micheál Martin paid tribute, calling him "a talented musician who made a significant contribution to Ireland's cultural landscape." He is survived by his wife and young son.
