London canal turns yellow as thousands of rubber ducks race for charity
Thousands of rubber ducks raced to the finish line in London on Thursday (July 30), as part of a fundraising event for Cosmic, a charity that supports babies and children in intensive care. Regent's Canal turned bright yellow as buckets of rubber ducks were launched off a bridge and sent bobbing along the waterway, floating to the final destination. Now in its 10th year, the annual event allows revellers to sponsor a duck, with funds going to Cosmic. Each toy is geared with a unique number before the race begins, allowing for participants to track their entry.
