From our perspective, we know Arthur is the one who secured his cousin's release, the very reason for Karim's animosity. However, Karim lacks any concrete proof and stubbornly refuses to acknowledge this, instead choosing to lash out at everyone around him.
His inability to see how his own behavior alienates those closest to him, even pushing Émilie away, is astounding. He’s convinced Arthur is manipulating people against him, completely oblivious to his own destructive actions.
