In videos in 2024 I noted the Mad Max and Alien film franchises (which started in 1979) may show anecdotal hints to the near-present. Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981) actor Steven J. Spears may bear a resemblance to Gerard Butler known for his role as King Leonidas in 300 (2006). This chronicled the Greek / Persian wars. The area of Iran occupies what was once known as Persia.
An indicator to the start date (June 13, 2025) of the Israel / Iran conflict may be seen in Mad Max 2 in the resemblance of gang leader Humungus to Jason Vorhees of the Friday The 13th horror films. Both wear a hockey mask.
