Part 2
June 16, 2025 - The timeframe of a recent flare up in military hostilities between the states of Israel & Iran may be indicated in popular movies of the past. In the Back To The Future (1985-1990) sci-fi / comedy trilogy, Iran itself is mentioned in Part 2 (1989). An Iranian Cleric, possibly an Ayatollah appears as a graphical avatar waiter in a scene in the Cafe 80's diner in the fictional depiction of 2015.
A confirmation that 2025 may be indicated in some of the films events:
At 35 min 29 seconds in the original film McFLy arrives in the Hill Valley square and notices the Essex movie theater marquee where Cattle Queen Of Montana is listed as playing. This 1954 western starred Ronald Reagan and Barbara Stanwyck. A connection here may involve actress Meg Ryan. She appeared along with actor Dennis Quaid in the 1987 science fiction comedy Innerpsace. In August, 2024 Quaid appeared in a major biographical of the President.
James Tolkan was also in Back To The Future and in fighter pilot action drama Top Gun (1986) with Ryan and Tom Cruise.
The F-14 Tomcat is the fighter jet used in Top Gun and coincidentally, in 2025 Iran is one of the last countries in the world actively operating this.
The release of films featuring Tom Cruise may be a major time indicator in this latest conflict. Spy thriller Mission: Impossible: The Final Reckoning was just released on May 23rd, 2025, just weeks before the Friday The 13th start date to the latest fighting.
Director Brian De Palma worked with cruise on the original Mission: Impossible in 1996. Barbara Stanwyck, she worked with Scarface (1932) director Howard Hawks on Ball Of Fire (1941). De Palma later remade Scarface in 1983 starring Al Pacino. Dennis Quaid appeared in a movie with a similar title to this, the biography on musician Jerry Lee Lewis, Great Balls Of Fire in 1989.
At 37 minutes 35 seconds in Back To The Future Marty goes into the diner and in this scene there may be an indicator to the date Friday 13th. Here we are introduced to the younger version of Marty's father played by Crispin Glover. He later appeared in the horror film Friday The 13th The Final Chapter in 1984 featuring horror icon Jason Vorhees.
If you are into word puzzles or anagrams: The word biff can be rearranged and reversed to spell out f16, also the name of another common fighter jet.
At the end of the diner scene Marty looks up the name of 1955's Doc Brown in a phone book. He TEARS out the page with the address and number. I thought this possibly a homophone particle reference to TEHRAN, the capital city of Iran.
