BOATERS SAVE EXHAUSTED BAT FOUND SWIMMING IN LAKE

Watch as quick-thinking boaters rescue an exhausted bat after spotting it struggling to stay afloat in the water.
The heartwarming footage, filmed by Ethan Mills in Steamboat, Colorado, USA, shows the tiny bat desperately swimming towards the boat. Realising the animal was in trouble, the group carefully reaches out with a paddle to gently lift the bat from the water.
The soaked bat clings to the paddle as it is safely transported back to shore.
Once on dry land, the rescuers release the bat back into the wild, hoping it can recover and make its way back to its family.
The touching footage was shared online. Ethan said: "We noticed a bat in the water swimming towards our boat and quickly sprung into action to rescue it."
"We picked it up with a padel boat oar, and brought it to shore where we were able to release it back into the wild. We hope it made its way back to its family safely!"
