Watch as a rat appears to punch in a passcode before ringing a home's doorbell in a bizarre late-night encounter.
The unusual footage, filmed in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China by Huang Chao, shows the rodent standing upright on its hind legs in front of an electronic door lock and intercom.
Balancing like a tiny human, the rat uses its front paws to repeatedly tap the numeric keypad before reaching up to press the doorbell button.
The animal's surprisingly deliberate movements make it look as though it is attempting to unlock the door and let itself inside.
Home security cameras captured the strange moment, leaving viewers stunned by the rat's uncanny interaction with the modern technology.
