Private prosecutor Atty. Lorna Kapunan ended the prosecution's direct examination of former Commission on Audit Intelligence and Confidential Funds Audit Office (COA-ICFAO) state auditor Roderick Wamil on Tuesday, Aug. 4, by describing Vice President Sara Duterte's use of confidential funds as a "scam."
Defense lawyer Atty. Michael Poa immediately moved to strike the remark from the record, a motion that was sustained by Senate Presiding Officer Francis "Chiz" Escudero.
