दिल्ली में मंगलवार को आम आदमी पार्टी (AAP) के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने E20 ईंधन नीति के विरोध में प्रधानमंत्री आवास तक मार्च निकाला। हालांकि, दिल्ली पुलिस ने केजरीवाल, मनीष सिसोदिया, जैस्मिन शाह और अन्य नेताओं को फिरोजशाह रोड पर रोक दिया, जिसके बाद सभी नेता सड़क पर ही धरने पर बैठ गए। AAP का दावा है कि देशभर से E20 के खिलाफ 2.30 लाख से अधिक लोगों ने हस्ताक्षर कर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को चिट्ठियां लिखी हैं। केजरीवाल ने कहा कि पुलिस ने मार्च को आगे बढ़ने की अनुमति नहीं दी, इसलिए सभी याचिकाएं पुलिस को सौंप दी गईं, जिन्हें पुलिस की गाड़ियों में रखकर भेजा गया। उन्होंने बताया कि पुलिस ने इन याचिकाओं की रिसीविंग प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय से दिलाने का आश्वासन दिया है। केजरीवाल ने यह भी कहा कि उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री को संदेश भेजा है और उम्मीद जताई कि वे इस मुद्दे पर उनसे मुलाकात करेंगे तथा जनता की चिंताओं पर गंभीरता से विचार करेंगे।
On Tuesday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal led a march towards the Prime Minister's residence to protest against the E20 fuel policy. However, Delhi Police stopped Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Jasmine Shah, and other party leaders at Feroz Shah Road, following which they staged a sit-in protest on the road. AAP claimed that it had collected more than 230,000 petitions and letters from people across the country opposing the E20 policy, which were intended to be handed over to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kejriwal said the police did not allow the march to proceed, so all the petitions were handed over to the police, who loaded them into official vehicles for delivery. He added that the police assured him they would obtain an official acknowledgement of receipt from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). Kejriwal also said he had sent a message to the Prime Minister and expressed hope that the PM would meet him and seriously consider the concerns raised by the public.
