An explosion in a suburb of the Syrian capital Damascus killed at least one person and wounded several others, according to Syrian state media and an Associated Press journalist at the scene.
Syrian state television cited an unnamed security official as saying the explosion in Jaramana was caused by an explosive device planted in a minivan taxi.
