एलपीजी ग्राहकों के लिए eKYC को लेकर बड़ी खबर सामने आई है। बताया जा रहा है कि 16 अगस्त तक eKYC पूरी नहीं करने वाले उपभोक्ताओं के कनेक्शन पर असर पड़ सकता है और सिलेंडर बुकिंग या सब्सिडी में परेशानी आ सकती है। सरकार और तेल कंपनियां फर्जी कनेक्शनों की पहचान तथा वास्तविक लाभार्थियों तक सुविधाएं पहुंचाने के लिए KYC अपडेट अभियान चला रही हैं। उपभोक्ता अपनी गैस एजेंसी पर आधार कार्ड और गैस कनेक्शन की जानकारी लेकर बायोमेट्रिक eKYC करा सकते हैं। ऑनलाइन प्रक्रिया के लिए संबंधित कंपनी की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट या ऐप का इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है। साथ ही, eKYC के नाम पर होने वाली साइबर ठगी से सावधान रहना जरूरी है और किसी अनजान व्यक्ति को OTP या बैंक संबंधी जानकारी नहीं देनी चाहिए। इसके अलावा, 5 किलो के FTL यानी ‘छोटू’ LPG सिलेंडर को छोटे परिवारों, छात्रों और नौकरीपेशा लोगों के लिए किफायती विकल्प बताया जा रहा है।
A major update has emerged for LPG consumers regarding eKYC. Consumers who do not complete their eKYC by August 16 may face issues with their LPG connection, including difficulties in booking cylinders or receiving subsidies. The government and oil companies are conducting KYC updates to identify fraudulent connections and ensure that benefits reach genuine beneficiaries.
Consumers can complete biometric eKYC by visiting their gas agency with their Aadhaar card and LPG connection details. The process can also be completed online through the official website or app of the respective LPG company.
Consumers should also remain alert against cyber fraud in the name of eKYC and must never share OTPs or bank details with unknown callers.
