Victoria's electoral commissioner has urged voters to do their research before heading into the ballot box after a party with a deliberately misleading name was successfully registered ahead of the state election. The "Free Palestine" party was set up by right-wing activist Avi Yemeni, who says he wants to redirect left-wing voters to conservative parties through preferences. It means an application by a pro-Palestinian group to register a party under a near-identical name has been rejected.
