Ninna-ji is the head temple of the Omuro School of the Shingon sect. Founded in 888 and designated a World Heritage Site in 1994, the temple grounds feature a unique variety of cherry blossoms known as “Omuro cherry blossoms,” as well as charming architecture, beautiful gardens, and fascinating walking paths.
