A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck Colombia on Monday morning, causing material damage and several injuries, mainly in the Chocó department. The epicenter was near San José del Palmar, and the quake was strongly felt in Bogotá, Cali, Medellín and several other cities. The Colombian Geological Service initially estimated the earthquake at magnitude 6.7 before revising it to 7.4.
