One of our favourite actresses, Reese Witherspoon rose to fame for her perfect comic timing before she achieve Oscar recognition for her 2005 film Walk the Line, co-starring Joaquin Phoenix as country singer Johnny Cash. Born Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon, the actress spent four years in Germany as a child before returning to the US, landing her first acting job at age seven. A few years later, Reese was cast in her breakout role in Man in the Moon, and never looked back. Like her Legally Blonde character, Reese is a keen businesswoman; her first production company was named Type A Productions after the childhood nickname given to the driven and precocious young Reese by her mother. Reese was married to Cruel Intentions co-star Ryan Phillippe from 1999 to 2006, with the then-power couple becoming proud parents to lookalike daughter Ava, 17, and a son Deacon, 13. After their split, Reese had a relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal before meeting and marrying talent agent Jim Toth, with whom she has her youngest son Tennessee, four.
