The ABC can reveal emergency department wait times in five regional hospitals are the worst in the state. At Ballarat Hospital almost 900 patients waited more than 24 hours for a bed in the first three months of this year alone. Now staff are speaking out saying they're near breaking point while patient safety is failing.
