This innovative system employs an image-inpainting method derived from computer vision, ensuring known atoms are retained while predicting the locations of the missing ones. Testing revealed that XtalPaint accurately restored the original hydrogen configuration in 87% of instances, with an additional 10% yielding more energetically favorable arrangements, culminating in an impressive overall success rate of 97%.
