Just a quick update on the camera trap I placed in the mountain stream so as not to leave you hanging..!
In the event, over the 5 days it was in place, the trap recorded only one image of a little mouse. I had to take it down due to the authorities concern over an outbreak of African Swine flu that we have in the area so no chance of capturing anything else for the moment.
The trailcams I placed up at the waterfall recorded a Beech Marten crossing a fallen log over the stream as well as what I believe to be a female Goshawk calling to its mate. I have a feeling they're nesting somewhere in the area.
So that's about it for the moment... I'll be away for a lot of August and then in September I'll be coming back to the UK to lead a couple of drone photography/videography workshops, so that being the case I will return with more camera trapping videos in the Autumn.
