DAY TURNS TO NIGHT AS RARE TOTAL ECLIPSE CASTS INTO DARKNESS

Daylight suddenly vanished as a dramatic eclipse plunged part of Iceland into darkness, leaving one photographer stunned after waiting five years to witness the moment.
Muhammed Emin Kizilkaya, who is from Iceland, captured the surreal moment on camera as the sky rapidly darkened during the long-awaited eclipse.
Muhammed had been anticipating the event for around five years and made sure he had his camera and tripod ready despite cloudy weather.
Muhammed said he had been waiting years for the chance to capture the eclipse.
He said: "It was honestly surreal.
"The whole country had been preparing for the eclipse, and people had travelled to Iceland from all over the world to see it.
"Because of the clouds, many people went to the northwest of the country where the conditions were better.
"It happened incredibly quickly, and that was the moment you see in the video."
"I had been waiting for this moment for about five years, so there was no way I was going to miss recording it."
"I think the biggest thing was just how surreal it felt.
"You can read about an eclipse and know exactly when it is coming, but actually experiencing the daylight suddenly disappear is completely different."
