Aerial footage shows derailed passenger train near Lewes in southeast England
A passenger train derailed near Lewes in southeast England on Thursday (August 13), triggering an emergency response. Aerial images showed at least one carriage lying on its side while emergency crews attended the scene and helped passengers from the train. British Transport Police said officers were responding to the incident, and there were no immediate reports of casualties. Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander said the government was working with the rail industry to assist passengers affected by the derailment.
