The prime minister was asked there about the newly revealed near miss incident at Sydney airport. A virgin flight was cleared to take off and had begun applying thrust the crew saw a Qantas plane cross into their path. The Australian transport safety bureau says it is investigating whether training that was taking place in the control tower at Sydney airport was a factor.
