🚄⚡ China is pushing the limits of maglev technology. A new high-speed magnetic-levitation test is reportedly capable of accelerating from 0 to 800 km/h in just 5 seconds, potentially setting a new acceleration record for maglev systems.
The figure is extraordinary, although it should be distinguished from the train’s sustained operating speed and independently verified records. China’s latest maglev prototypes have previously targeted speeds of around 600 km/h.
