Dear Friends,
After a heavy storm I went back earlier than planned to check on the camera trap and thankfully it was all in tact.
I left it for a few more days at the forest location but, in the event, it only recorded a couple more images of badgers, pretty similar to last time.
That being so, and having gotten tired of fighting spiders and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes I decided it was time to relocate the camera.
I recovered the kit, cleaned it, re-charged batteries, downloaded the cards, and set off on a hike up a mountain trail following a lovely stream to a small waterfall.
I struggled to find a good location for the camera and in the end settled for a spot overlooking a boulder with a couple of tunnels burrowed underneath.
Who knows..! We might get lucky..!
