Slovak NEMESIS RWS project transforms pickup truck into a mobile counter-drone system with a remotely controlled turret, thermal cameras and different armament options

A Ford Ranger has been transformed into the basis of an unusual mobile counter-drone system developed in Slovakia. Called the NEMESIS RWS, the configuration combines the mobility of a conventional pickup truck with a remotely controlled weapon station, electro-optical sensors and large-caliber armament.

In the configuration shown, the turret mounted over the truck bed carries four 12.7 mm DShK machine guns, as well as four 75 mm launchers designed for defensive ammunition for use against drones. The concept is to create a C-UAS platform — the acronym used for counter-unmanned aircraft systems — capable of accompanying ground units and being quickly redeployed between different positions.
