This concrete towel planter DIY uses a simple draping technique to create a dramatic wave-spike planter from wet cement mix and a terry towel. The towel is fully soaked in the concrete mixture, pressed into a wide plastic tub, then the entire assembly is flipped upside-down over a bucket mold and left to cure. After demolding and peeling the towel, the raw grey concrete form is revealed — deeply textured with organic ridges and jagged spikes. The planter is then painted solid white, filled with potting soil, and planted with a flowering azalea bonsai with exposed twisted roots. The final result is placed on a teak wood porch deck for a stunning outdoor display. Watch to the end for the full reveal.
